It’s almost inevitable. Once you’ve been practicing asana for a while, the yearning to go deeper into your practice manifests.
Sometimes, even after completing a yoga teacher training, we ask ourselves, now what?
Where do I go from here?
How do I go deeper? Where do I start? What does going deeper even mean?
I know how you feel. I’ve been lucky to have several senior yoga teachers who became mentors for me. I spent a lot time studying with them off the mat. I’ve been with my main teacher Jeanie for almost 3 years now, despite the fact that I live in Wisconsin and she’s still in Colorado. I studied with her formally for a year and then continued via Skype once I moved. She’s helped me to become a better yogi and a better teacher. She’s helped me tap into the divine energy and the deep philosophy of yoga.
Cate, my Ayurveda teacher and mentor, taught me all about Ayurveda, the diet and lifestyle practices of yoga. Her deep knowledge of Ayurveda and how it relates to the modern-day yogi has informed all of my Ayurveda teachings. Cate also mentored me in the business of yoga and Ayurveda, both of which are purely modern-day phenomena.
I have been fortunate to learn from those with deep, deep wells of wisdom and I feel called to pass the wisdom along.
So, now I’m offering 1:1 mentoring for yogis and yoga teachers.
